Founded in New York City in
1982, The Single Gourmet has established itself as the world's premier social
dining club. We offer single persons in all age ranges the opportunity to share
good food, wine and stimulating conversation with new single friends in the
finest restaurants the Island has to offer.
Restaurants are carefully
selected to reflect the wide range of interesting and diverse cuisines that are
available on Long Island. Our goal is to create unforgettable evenings that are
filled with lasting, delicious memories.
The Single Gourmet events
provide a wonderful, relaxed and pressure-free atmoshere to meet many single
people. While we are not a dating service, The Single Gourmet offers a terrific
opportunity to form connections with other interesting individuals. Whether
they be romantic connections is up to you!
Every month
we send our members a newsletter describing the events that have been planned
for the month to come. The newsletter describes each event giving you a sense
of what makes it special. All pertinent information is listed including the
full price (which includes tax & gratuity).
As a member, you decide
which events you want to attend and let us know by phone, fax or email that you
wish to make a reservation. And, as your membership is honored in all of the
Chapters Nationwide, the New York City events are also listed in the newsletter
for you to choose from. Payment via credit card or check is due one week before
the event. Members are permitted to bring guests, if space is available, for a
nominal fee of $5.00 - $10.00 plus cost of the event.
Upon your arrival at the event, you will be greeted and introduced to
other members. Most events begin with a reception where you can meet, mingle
and socialize with other members. Afterwards, you will be seated in small
groups with others sharing common interests. |
